The course addresses gene expression systems in bacteria, yeast, plant and animal cells. Applications in biopharmaceutical production are emphasised. The laboratory part of the course includes the most frequently used methods in gene technology including isolation and mapping of DNA, vector construction, transformation and expression of recombinant genes in host cells, protein purification, and protein analysis |
